Fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project held at Hickory Tavern Middle School
Hickory Tavern, SC --- A fundraiser was held at the Hickory Tavern Middle School in Laurens County on May 29, 2024 to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Over 110 middle school student, 3 staff members and Laurens County School Resource Officer Deputy Barton Holmes participated in the 5K Run Benefit. The idea for the fundraiser was started by a teacher who has a son currently serving in the United States Army.
This event was the first for Hickory Tavern Middle School and raised $1,200 for the Wounded Warrior Project. Congratulations to Deputy Barton Holmes for coming in first place but everyone who made this event possible was winners. Thank you for a job well done.
